Pomegranate
Pomegranate
The plant
The part of the pomegranate that interests a formulator is not the seed cavity everyone eats, but the leathery rind around it — the pericarp. That rind is where the fruit concentrates its tannins and polyphenols, because it is the part doing the protecting. The seed gives something different: a rare oil, extracted here by supercritical CO₂ rather than solvent, so nothing but pressure and cold carbon dioxide touches it.

Rose & Jasmine Bubble Cleanserseed CO₂ oil
What it does
The pericarp extract contributes polyphenol antioxidants; the CO₂ seed oil brings a small, rich lipid fraction to a rinse-off formula that would otherwise strip.
Where it comes from
The seed CO₂ oil is certified organic. The pericarp liquid extract is a botanical-source glycerine extract and is not certified organic.
