The power of plants

The plant

The oil palm yields more oil per hectare than any other oil crop, which is both the reason it is everywhere and the reason it has cost so much forest. In soap it does something no other oil does as cheaply: it makes a bar that stays hard and lathers slowly instead of dissolving in the dish.

What it does

Part of the saponified oil blend in both soap bars.

Responsible sourcing

Where it comes from

Certified to the RSPO standard, as marked on the formulation sheet. It comes in inside the bought-in soap base.

Worth saying plainly

We would rather name it than leave it off. Palm oil is in both soap bars, it comes in through the melt & pour base, and the sheet records it as RSPO-compliant. It is in no other ENAYIN formula. This is also the one plant in the library we have no photograph of.
