The power of plants

The plant

The sweet orange is not a wild species; it is a cross between pomelo and mandarin that has been propagated by grafting ever since. The oil is not distilled but expressed — held in tiny sacs in the peel, released by pressing, which is why the smell of a freshly peeled orange and the smell of the oil are the same thing.
